Meet Rev. Amy Venable

Amy Venable is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she completed a double major in French and International Studies. She spent her junior year studying at the Université de Caen, in Normandy. She also holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Amy served for six years at Boston Avenue Church in Tulsa, where she was Minister of Adult Christian Education, Missions and Disciple Bible studies. She has served as senior pastor of St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in Norman since June 2007.

Amy enjoys performing in theatre, creating art, and riding her bike. She regularly participates in the Oklahoma FreeWheel ride, a week-long ride that starts along the Red River and ends across the border of Kansas.
