Seminary for Life

Theological re-education is the challenge at the heart of St. Stephen’s new adult education model, “Seminary for Life,” which begins this Sunday morning with an overview series. It’s an opportunity to experience accessible scholarship, to listen to voices of change, to express doubt and ask questions of faith in a safe place where no one will call you a “heretic,” and where we seek to be “generous” in our diversity of understanding and experience. The invitation to ALL is “Come join the conversation and explore what it means to be part of St. Stephen’s and call yourself a United Methodist Progressive Christian.”

The class will meet from 9:45-10:40 in the Community Hall, August 22—September 26. Rev. Amy Venable, Kay Antinoro, and lay leaders from St. Stephen’s Adult Education Committee are leading the experience. A renewed Christianity needs people on an intentional journey of exploring the mysteries of faith
and life. Won’t you come?
